what are microresidencias?
Microresidencias with Paula Fraile offer artists a 10-day or 3-day stay in Leipzig, Germany. I open my studio to artists who, like me, feel the need to step out of their usual environment, connect with new cultural scenes, and explore their practice in a collaborative and inspiring space.
These residencies provide time to immerse yourself in your work, experiment with new approaches, and share your creative process. Ideas take shape not only in the studio but also in the building, the streets, and the city—through conversations, collaborations, and experiences.
If you’d like to be part of this experience, I invite you to share space, time, and process with me.
who is it for
Microresidencias are perfect for artists who want to step out of their usual studio space, share knowledge and experiences with another artist, and find inspiration in a city like Leipzig. This is a unique opportunity to work in a special environment, connect with the local art scene, and immerse yourself in a new creative atmosphere.
the studio
Studio ILLUX is located in Westwerk, a former 19th-century factory that has become a cultural hub where artists from various disciplines work in repurposed lofts and studios.
The 100m² studio is an open-plan space with movable panels and tables on wheels, allowing it to be adapted to different needs.
The studio is located in Plagwitz, which is known for its industrial heritage and vibrant cultural scene. Former factories and warehouses have been transformed into bars, galleries, and creative spaces. The nearby Karl Heine Canal is perfect for walking, canoeing, or simply disconnecting from work.
This is why I find this location perfect—it allows me to immerse myself in my artistic process while still feeling part of a larger creative community.

accommodation
I live just down the street in a classic German Altbau house, where you will have your own big private room (25 m²) with a double bed and a work desk. I live with my partner Yoav Naveh, who is a sound engineer and tech-savvy. Yoav takes care of the practical and technical aspects of the residency. From digital organization to on-site support. Together, we’ve created a space for artists to work, exchange ideas, and experience Leipzig as part of a global artistic network. .
